I have a slight preference for CoC, simply because I am unfamiliar with ToC/Gumshoe.
But anything non-intrusive is fine by me.
Open the gate, O watchman of the night!

It's Trail!
I will be sending a copy of the rules-set to people with character concepts prepared shortly.
Kool. Pip and I now have the TOC Players Guide. Wonderful things, PDFs …
Actually, I bought a volume licence so I could send you all one of your own, legally… sorry, I should have made that clear. Will be emailing it out tonight.
Pelgrane Press now have a sale on for PDFs from the Gumshoe system (on which Trail is based).
The sale is here at e23.
On a similar note, Drive Thru RPG have a 25% off sale at the moment.
I know we haven't really given the rules a workout yet in this game, but I re-read them recently and am liking them more and more. For games of mystery/detecting/exploration/discovery, there's a lot to like.
(Can they adequately model the differential in effectiveness of hapkido vs. mixed martial arts vs. a shoggoth, though? That's the real test…)
I agree, the rules set is well suited to the genre (and to this kind of online game where micro-management via dice needs to be kept to a minimum).
