About This Corpse

The blackened corpse's chest cavity is gaping open; it looks like the ribs have been broken and burned right through. Normally torso bones are calcined rather than burned away by a typical fire.
Perhaps the assailant used thermite, or an arc welder, or whatever they used to burn through the lock, on the corpse's chest as well. But the remaining stumps of bone are twisted as if the rib cage has burst open from the inside.

There are no obvious signs of the corpse being shot, stabbed, or similar; though of course the charring makes it hard to tell. A full autopsy would be required to tell whether anything other than burning to death has affected the deceased.
